Kate joined Marsden Jacob with over 10 years of experience in corporate finance and valuations, gained through roles in professional services and investment advisory in Australia and internationally.  

From small-scale initiatives to multi-billion-dollar transactions, Kate has led valuation engagements and investment analyses across a broad range of sectors, including consumer and industrial products and agribusinesses, infrastructure and energy, finance, health and technology.

Kate’s expertise includes: 

• Strong investment evaluation skills 
  Valuation of projects, companies and intangible assets, from small projects and SMEs to ASX-listed companies and multi-billion-dollar transactions. 
• Strategic and value advisory
  A wealth of experience reviewing investment strategies and business plans, including opportunities, exposures and Environmental, Social and Governance. 
• Financial analysis, modelling sensitivity and scenario analysis
  Building and reviewing financial operating models and forecasts, including complex businesses and scenarios with codependent variables, regulatory and market assumptions.  
• Market research and benchmarking
  Key value driver, demand, supply and benchmarking analyses as part of assessing opportunities, risks and value, for example, to test growth rates, earnings margins, discount rates and valuation multiples.
• Leadership, project management and mentoring
  Collaborative leadership across practice strategy and planning, project and team management, mentoring and coaching and high-level client/stakeholder relationship skills across multiple industries.  

Kate holds a Bachelor of Accounting (Finance) from the University of Technology Sydney (Corporate Scholarship Degree). She is also a Chartered Accountant with a Business Valuation Specialisation, and has completed a Certificate III in Horticulture.
