Melissa is a highly experienced qualitative and quantitative researcher who is deeply passionate about shaping the future wisely across environment and climate change, with particular focus on circular economy and waste.
A strong background in finance, accounting and academia informs Melissa’s research and analysis work, with career highlights including:
- Circular economy implementation analysis and assessment.
Including the analysis of circular economy implementation in the automotive industry, as well as factors that influence policy development for the circular economy in the UK, Germany and France. - Renewable energy research and project management.
Contributing to the EU-funded research project ‘inteGRIDy’, developing an integrated platform for distributed renewable energy sources. - Sustainable business model consultancy.
Consulting on strategic issues including competitor analysis, policy analysis and business plan development. - Quantitative and qualitative data analysis.
Compiling quantitative and qualitative data from the member states of the European Union to inform decision-making for fund allocation when planning the EU budget.
Melissa has a Master of Science in International Management from the University of Amsterdam and a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Accounting from Goethe University Frankfurt. She recently submitted her PhD in Applied Finance at Macquarie University and has lectured several units at Kedge Business School, focusing on circular economy, sustainable business models, global value chains and international development.
